The Motivation of the Terror Attack – "The Client" as a Fulcrum for the War on Global Terrorism and Organized Crime

Two failures in the management paradigm of the war against global terrorism allowed the Nigerian Student Abdul Mutallab to penetrate the security system of Amsterdam's Schiphol airport in order to carry out a strategic terror attack on Christmas Day – an attack that was ultimately prevented by the courageous action of one of Delta's Detroit-bound passengers. The two factors that caused the breach of the security system are a lack of a policy that fully encompasses the capabilities of the intelligence and an erroneous belief regarding the abilities of technology (and its limits).

In theory: The origins of our management concept

The Worldview team believes that in order to understand where industry in the 21st century is heading, one needs to study the history of industrial development from the beginning of the 19th century until the middle of the 20th century, a period that has come to be known as "the first industrial revolution". This period was characterized by a management concept developed and adapted to the new mass production, an approach which pushed aside the old system in which a craftsman used his skills to produce an individual work of art.

Ehud Olmert is a weak leader. His vision of transforming the country into "a great place to live" enjoys little public confidence. He has limited ability to work toward his dream. Aversion to change is necessary to his personal battle for survival. Change of policy, if such a thing occurs, will be propelled by public opinion.

A look towards 2008: An unrestrained, geopolitical and economic environment under feeble leadership

Ehud Olmert is a weak leader. The vision he propounded of a country which would be "a place that is a joy to live in" has merited little confidence among the Israeli public. The prime minister's ability to advance his vision even by a few steps is bound to be poor when the office he holds is little more than a formality.
